About Dash Security
Dash Security is building the security layer for the agentic enterprise - so teams can let AI run, securely. Enterprises are adopting AI agents across coding tools, SaaS, cloud, and endpoints, and traditional security stacks don’t work where agents interpret instructions, plan, and act at runtime. Dash discovers every agent, MCP server, skill, and interaction; captures full agentic sessions end to end; and observes, governs, and acts across every agent and interaction, everywhere they run - instantly. We exist to close the agent security gap with intent-aware runtime protection that scales with enterprise AI adoption.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join Dash’s core development team. You will design, build, and ship the platform that powers discovery, session-aware detection, policy governance, and runtime enforcement across workstations, SaaS, and cloud. You will work on scalable, low-latency services that process agent activity in real time and enforce security policies without slowing builders down. This role requires strong engineering fundamentals, a focus on system reliability, and an interest in the unique challenges of agentic security.
Responsibilities
Design and Implement Services: Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs for the Dash Security platform (customer and admin APIs, detection ingestion, aggregation, and control-plane services).
Build Core Features: Implement features for agent/MCP/skill discovery, session and intent-aware detection, policies, and runtime enforcement across coding agents and enterprise AI platforms.
Optimize Runtime Protection: Maintain and optimize high-throughput detection and enforcement pipelines that operate at enterprise scale (ingestion, detectors, verdicts, and policy dispatch).
Integrate with Platforms: Build and deepen integrations with coding agents, SaaS AI platforms, identity providers, EDR, SIEM, and outbound action systems to ingest telemetry and enforce controls.
Ensure Reliability: Focus on code quality, performance, monitoring, and stability through robust testing, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
Collaborate with Research: Partner with the AI Security Research team to turn findings, signatures, and heuristics into production-ready detectors and enforcement logic.
Contribute to Architecture: Participate in technical design and architectural reviews across our codebases, agents, and event-driven backend services.
Stay Current: Continuously learn and apply new technologies, development methodologies, and security best practices.
Qualifications
BSc./MSc. in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably building scalable distributed systems.
Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js with a preference for backend development. Experience with Go or Python is a plus.
Hands-on experience working with coding agents (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) is a must, including practical use of agentic capabilities such as MCP servers, Skills, hooks, and similar agent tooling.
Experience with cloud computing platforms (preferably AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Solid understanding of system design, data structures, algorithms, and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and event streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka).
Demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient, and well-tested code.
Curious, self-driven, and eager to contribute to a rapidly evolving field like agentic security.
